DANIELSVILLE - Leland H. Gunnells, Jr., 82 died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Commerce, the son of the late Leland Hodges and Nelle Wallace Gunnells, Sr. and was a farmer. Mr. Gunnells was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Stuckey Gunnells; and his second wife, Doris Brogdon Gunnells.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Ligon O’Kelley, Winterville; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Sharpelle Gunnells, Danielsville; and grandchildren, Khristopher Gunnells, Todd and Tony Moody.
Graveside service will be Sunday, November 6 at 2 p.m. from the Bold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jordan Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m.
The family has requested to omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Bold Springs Fire Department.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
