Wendell Eugene Hanson Jr., 70, of Comer, died Saturday, August 2, 2008.
He was the son of the late Wendell E. Hanson Sr. and Hazel “Cookie” Hanson. He was a retired Air Force Master Sargent, in which he served in the Vietnam war. He was also a Free Mason and a Shriner. He was an exceptionally loving and devoted husband, a loving and caring father and grandfather and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Gail E. Hanson; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Hanson and Gene Knight; son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Gene Hanson, III; brother, David “Tiny” Hanson; sister, Martha Perdue; grandchildren, Ferron Tate, Trevor Tate, Amanda Hanson, Ashlan Hanson, Marisa Hanson, MaKenna Barrett, Joshua Knight, Collin Knight and Conner Knight.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 23, at 3 p.m., at Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
