DANIELSVILLE – Jean Teague Dixon, 78, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, in Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
Born in Rabun County on September 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Roy Teague and Hattie James Teague Watkins. She was a nurse (LPN) and was a member of the Battle Branch Baptist Church. Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon (Red) Dixon; a sister, Susie Coffee; and three brothers, Jack Teague, Dewey Teague and Bud Teague.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Danny Farmer, Danielsville; brother, Ray Teague, Highlands, Mich.; sister, Jane Martindale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Charity Farmer Allen, Todd Farmer and Dusty Farmer; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 29, from the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Cannon officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery in the Warwoman Community.
