ALTO - Jeffery L. Davidson, 63, died Thursday, October 27, 2011.
Born in Banks County on November 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Roy Lester and Grace Lee Bonds Davidson. Mr. Davidson faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a parachute rigger during the Vietnam War. He was retired having been self-employed in construction and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by his brother, Lee Roy Davidson.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Tonya and Michael Phillips, Athens, Krissie and Darius Butler, Villa Rica; daughter, Kaitlyn Walker, Fairburn; brother, Troy Davidson, Alto; grandchildren, Hayden and Clayton Phillips, Athens; and niece and nephew, Jordan and Shannon Davidson, Gainesville.
Memorial services were held Sunday, October 30, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart, with full military honors provided by Rabun County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #15, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84 and the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home of Cornelia was in charge of arrangements.

He was a dear friend.I will miss him.I am Candy Skinner Adams mother, she preceded Jeff in death Aug.5 2009
