Hazel Hardman Guest, 86, of Hull, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late George Wesley and Evie Butler Hardman. She was a longtime member and past State Treasurer of the Masters 4H Club and also a member of Chapter 268 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Wiliford N. “Buddy” Guest; children, George and Betty Guest, Mt. Airy, and Jane Kittle, Hull; grandchildren, Corbin Kittle, Brian Kittle, Donna Guest, Laura Guest, Tommy Guest and Becky Guest.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 16, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Jonathan Tolbert and Bill Wood officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House or Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.

KNOWING HAZEL THE YEARS I DID SHE WAS ALWAYS THE WARMEST,MOST LOVING PERSON I'VE EVER KNOWN. AND IF ANY TWO PEOPLE WERE MADE FOR EACH OTHER IT WAS BUDDY AND HAZEL.THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER SHOWED EVERY TIME THEY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER. I WILL MISS HAZEL VERY MUCH. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU HER FAMILY.
