Jack Beatty (10-30-11)

PENDERGRASS - Jack Smith Beatty, 76, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his residence.

He was born in Jackson County the son of the late Homer and Maude Elizabeth Smith Beatty. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School superintendent for over 40 years. He was a United States Navy veteran and was retired from ZF Industry.

Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Williamson Beatty, Pendergrass; daughters, Debra Ingram and Jackie Hill, both of Gainesville, Peggy Godfrey, Pendergrass, and Beverly Beauchamp (Keith), Nicholson; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and a number of aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Keith D. Cudd officiating. Interment will follow in Pendergrass Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 31, from 6 to 9 p.m.
