COMMERCE – Arthur G. Sears, 81, died Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Northridge Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was the son of the late George Washington and Cora Lee Hill Sears. He retired from Roper Pump Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minnie Evelyn Crumley Sears; his second wife, Bobbie Jean Martin Sears; and a son, Grant Sears.
Survivors include sons, Steve and George G. Sears, both of Commerce; stepson, Carl Veal, Nicholson; daughter, Melissa Campbell, Commerce; and stepdaughter, Bonnie Baker, Maysville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 24, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Smith and James Dumas officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
