HOMER - Shirley McAllister Evans, 69, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

She was born in Charlotte, N.C. the daughter of the late Robert and Peggy McAllister. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was previously employed with Young Packing.

Survivors include brothers, Keith and John Wayne McAllister, both of Gastonia, N.C.; and close friends and caregivers, Ken and Brenda Duckett.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Venable and Mrs. Maxcine Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
