COLBERT - Samuel Mack Tyner, 81, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Winterville Assisted Living following a period of declining health.
He is the son of the late James Gordon and Elizabeth Williamson Tyner of Crawford. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, was a member of Colbert Baptist Church, and was employed with Barrett Dodge.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Louise Rogers Tyner; sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel Mack Jr. and Gale Tyner, Crawford, and Richard Jackson and Revonda Tyner, Royston; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donation be made to Colbert Baptist Church or a charity of ones choice.
Lord & Stephens Madison Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
