Christian Matthew Earls was born on July 18, 1990 to Jamie Millsap and the Rev. Calvin Earls, II. On Tuesday morning, October 18, 2011, Christian decided to take an early rest and suffer no more here on earth with us.
Christian was preceded in death by grandfathers, James E. Randolph and Col. Red Earls; grandmother, Dorothy Wilson; and great-grandparents, Roy Frank and Virgie Mae Miller and Otha and Callie Randolph, Sr.
Christian joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and was a member on the junior. Christian attended Spout Springs Elementary, CW Davis Middle and Flowery Branch High School. He graduated from Lanier Career Academy and attended one year at Delaware State University, where he was Freshman Class President, Mr. Freshman and a red shirt on the football team, until his cancer came out of remission and at the request of the family came home to fight the cancer for a second time. Upon his return home he attended one semester at Georgia and then transferred to Georgia Perimeter College where he was enrolled until his death.
Christian loved so many things in life. First and foremost his nephew Casen, his family, friends, music and football.
He leaves to cherish his memories mother and stepfather, Kevin and Jamie Millsap; father, the Rev. Calvin Earls, II; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Hillary Earls; brother, Cameron Millsap; sister, Taylor Millsap; nephew, Casen James Earls (aka to him as “CJ”); two special cousins, Iyana Stringer and Jeriya Randolph; grandmother, Essie Randolph; special aunt, Sylvia (Shaun) Stringer; special uncle, Jeremy Randolph; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and relatives; and special friends, Troy King, Eddie McPherson, Greg Byrd, Chad Buckles, Eric Bymaster, Maniki Jenkins, Dustin Curtis, Matt Mills, L’Oreal, Cindy Corona, and many, many more.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Flowery Branch. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Emerson Ross and Eddie W. Bailey, Sr. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Christian Earls Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank.
