BRASELTON - Joanne Flowers Lanier, formerly of Warsaw, N.C., died on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, James N. Lanier (Col. Retired United States Army), Braselton; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Dexter Williams; grandson, Walker Williams, all of Gainesville; brothers-in-law, Dwight Lanier, Kenneth Lanier; sister-in-law, Faye Yopp; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lanier was a member of Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 16, at 3 p.m. at Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church, 5152 Braselton Hwy., Hoschton, GA 30548. A reception will follow the service at The Legends at Chateau Elan, 5473 Legends Dr., Braselton, GA 30517.
