Gaynell Kirk (10-12-11)

BOGART - Gaynell Dellinger Kirk, 80, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Artice and Eunice Ridgeway. Mrs. Kirk was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dellinger; sister, Mae Ridgeway; and brothers, L.J. Ridgeway and Lindon Ridgeway. She retired from General Time/Westclox after 32 years due to her health. She was a member of Bogart Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Pat (John) Edwards, Bogart, and Brenda (Billy) Smith of Danielsville; son, Eddie (Melissa) Dellinger of Bogart; sister, Bobbie McDaris, Hartwell; brother, Wayne (Jean) Ridgeway, Statham; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Lord & Stephens, WEST, with the Rev. Ben Parker officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ty Cobb Nursing Home in Comer and also to Odyssey Hospice.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, Bogart, is in charge of arrangements.
