Karen Hill (10-9-11)

HOMER – Karen R. Hill, 60, died Sunday, October 9, 2011.

She was the daughter of Norma Carroll Rogers of Smyrna and the late Frank K. Rogers. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbi Jo Hill Lankford; and brother, William “Skip” Rogers.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Harold Hill, Homer; daughters, Danielle Hill Gaylor, Homer, and Renne Hill Aikens, Lawrenceville; sisters, Virginia Day, Dallas, Pamela Leary, St. Louis, Mo., and Kimberly Warthen, Smyrna; a brother, F. Michael Rogers, Spring Lake, N.C., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, at 2 p.m., from the Homer Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Alex Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the Banks County Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.
