JEFFERSON – George Ted Dailey, 72, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
A native of Jefferson, he was the son of the late Harvey Jackson and Alma Stevens Dailey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay, who died in 1982. He loved the Lord and his family. Mr. Dailey retired from Westinghouse after 28 years of service. He also drove a school bus for Jackson County for five years.
Survivors include children, sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Candye Dailey and Mark Dailey; daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Danny Millen; six grandchildren, Jason Millen, Julie Hyatt, Michael Dailey, Josh Millen, Ashley Brown and Cody Dailey; four great-grandchildren, Haley Hyatt, Caleb Millen, Matthew Hyatt and Savannah Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Nathan Mize, Commerce; brother-in-law, Ralph Kennemer, Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Allen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.
