Judy Owens

Judy Hollis Owens, 69, of Maysville, died Saturday, August 16, 2008.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late L.J. and Annie Maude Crane Hollis. She was a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church and was retired from the poultry industry. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Evans; and brother, Stanley Hollis.

Survivors include a son, Billy Ladd, Jefferson; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Pete Worley, Jefferson; sisters, Irene Funderburke, Jefferson, Betty Hamilton, Maysville, and Debra Poole, Gainesville; brothers, J.D. Hollis, Vanna, Hoyt Hollis, Jimmy Hollis, and Danny Hollis, all of Pendergrass.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 18, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Knight officiating. Burial was in Pond Fork Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Chad Martin, Chad Samples, Shane Hollis, Todd Hollis, Tony Hollis, and Jerry Hollis.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
