Wade Hampton Williamson Jr., 95, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2011, surrounded by family.
He was born to Annie Clyde Storey and Wade Hampton Williamson Sr. in Jefferson, Georgia, on July 24, 1916. He attended The Martin Institute (1933) and North Georgia College (1935). During WWII, he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific. Although retired, he had a long successful career with NCR. In 1951, Wade married the late Rubye Virginia Breedlove, and the couple eventually settled in Winter Springs, Fla.
Wade held a wide variety of interests, including music, astronomy, model-ship building, and genealogy.
He is survived by three children, Gail (Steve) Guillemette, Wade (Kris) Williamson III, and Dean (Peggy) Williamson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be sent to The Wade Williamson Memorial Fund for Kellieann Wallen. Kellieann considered Wade her adopted grandfather. Kellieann is in desperate need of working medical equipment in her battle against cerebral palsy.
