COLBERT - Allen Leon "Red" Goss, 73, died Saturday, October 1, 2011.
Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Fred and Floretta Evans Goss and was preceded in death by a son, Ron Goss. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a retired roofing contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Youngblood Dawkins; a brother, Howard Goss; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 8, at 3 p.m. at Lord and Stephens Chapel, Danielsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, 1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd., Danielsville, GA 30633.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
