Bruce Lind (10-1-11)

HULL - Bruce Byron Lind, 62, died Saturday, October 1, 2011.

Born in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Byron and Ardeene Rogers Lind. Bruce was a very spiritual man as well as a loving husband, father and friend. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict as a combat engineer. He was an inventor, self-employed gunsmith and had worked as a mechanic of Mercedes Benz for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine G. Lind, Hull; a daughter, Erin Gwen Lind, Athens; son, Eric Bruce Lind, Hull; sisters, Mayris Kertcher and Adee McFarland both of Atlanta; and grandson, Keenan Ambrose Orion Smith.
The family will receive friends and family for a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, at the funeral home with military honors accorded at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Georgia State Botanical Gardens.
