JEFFERSON – Connie Sue Haynes, 69, was granted her angel wings on September 13, 2011. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends Connie had touched throughout her very memorable life.
Mrs. Haynes was born May 16, 1942, in Mexico, Missouri to Russell and Edna Creed, who preceded her death along with her first husband, Robert M. Turner Jr. and her sister, Linda Sewell.
She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, crafts and scrapbooking. She also loved to design jewelry and knitting.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Robert G. Haynes; daughter, Jamie Turner Brooks and her husband, Danny Ray Brooks; son, Spence Cooper Turner; grandson, Daniel Tyler Brooks; granddaughters, Randi Danielle Brooks and Lauren Christine Turner; stepdaughter, Sandra Therrien and husband Ron Therrien; stepson, Greg Haynes and his wife Teresa Haynes; step-granddaughters, Stacey and Michelle Therrien; step-grandson, Michael Haynes; several nieces and nephews and special friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the home of Connie and Robert Haynes at 357 Washington Pkwy., Jefferson, on Saturday, September 24 between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan B. Komen Cancer Society in Connie’s memory.
