WINDER – Ludger W. Lanthier, Jr., 65, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
Born in Barrow County, he was the son of the late Ludger W. Lanthier Sr. and Hazel Church Lanthier. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Christopher Lanthier.
He was a graduate of Winder Barrow High School in 1964, a member of the Winder First Methodist Church, and Masonic Lodge and the Davidson Lodge. He was the owner of Winder-Barrow Realty, which he started over 30 years ago. Mr. Lanthier served in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia Wall Lanthier of Winder; son, Trip (Julie) Lanthier, Winder; grandchildren, Christine, Samantha and Leslie Lanthier; brothers, Mitch (Susan) Lanthier and Greg (Pat) Lanthier, all of Winder; and a sister, Barbara (Les) Mount, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15, at 2 p.m., from the Winder First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Rary officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
