Francis Savage (9-13-11)

WINDER - Francis Savage, 77, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011.

Born in Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Herman James and Bertha Ackerman Wright. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Cheek.

Survivors include children, Don Hale and Renee Patrick, both of Winder; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerome Wright, Virginia; and sister, Irene Abney, Huguley, Ala.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
