Grace Wood (9-6-11)

HOSCHTON - Grace Elizabeth Wood, 90, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011.

Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late T.A. and Clara McEver Wood. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin D. ‘Tap’ Wood.

Survivors include sons, Doug (Vera) Wood, Hoschton , and David Wood and Denise Ellis, Jefferson; grandchildren Jackie Taffar, Eddie Wood and Chris Wood; and great-grandchildren, Seth, Sarah and Silas Taffar.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 9, from Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Taffar officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
