TALMO - Claud C. Pardue, 83, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Cleveland on September 2, 1928, he was the son of the late Frank and Flora Ledford Pardue. He was a United States Navy veteran and owner/operator of Pardue Enterprises. He was a member of the Loudsville United Methodist Church, was an antique auctioneer for 30 years, was past Exalted Ruler of Gainesville Elks, past President of Jefferson Rotary Club, and chief of North Jackson Fire Department, where he was instrumental in starting the fire department. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Pardue; brothers, Ray Pardue, Rufus Pardue, and Coy Pardue; sister, Thelma Pardue; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret L. Pardue, Talmo; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James Simmons, Cornelia; son, Greg C. Pardue, Talmo; six grandchildren, Jason Pardue, Greg Pardue, Ginger Simmons, Joy White, Scott Simmons, and Eli Tucker; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Revs. Johnny Knight, Jimmy Sargent, and Don Maynard will officiate. Interment will be in the Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
