BETHLEHEM – Howard Thomas “Fuzz” Ervin, 72, died early Wednesday morning, September 7, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Clarence Ervin and Mattie Brown Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy W. Ervin, Bethlehem; children, Tina Ervin Rider, Tim Ervin and Tammy Ervin, all of Bethlehem, Tom Ervin, Alto; sister, Brenda (John) Wood, Commerce; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Calvert and Dale A. Rider Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, September 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
