Bruce Pilon (8-23-11)

BOWMAN - Bruce Pilon, resident of Bowman, Ga. and formerly of Danielsville, passed away on August 23, 2011, at the age of 71 at his residence.

Mr. Pilon was born on the 22nd of December, 1939 in Hartford, Conn. He moved to Georgia in 1980. He was an accomplished contractor and was proud of his honored military service. He was a staple of the recovering community in Athens for more than 30 years and was a member of the Athens Biscayne Room.

Survivors include his wife Missie; their daughters, Mandy and Holly; stepson, Eric Adams; and brother, Dr. Robert Pilon. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold, his mother, Dorothy, and his late wife, Patsy.

A covered dish memorial service will be held Sunday September 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Young Harris Methodist Church, 973 Prince Ave., Athens, GA.
