COMER - Erwin Hardeman, 72 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2011.
He was the son of the late Currell and Ethel Hardeman. Mr. Hardeman is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Hammond Hardeman; brother, James Hardeman; and sister, Frances Cofer.
He owned and operated Hardeman Insurance with Cotton States and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Comer Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon, Sunday School Secretary, and choir member. He was an active Rotary Club member, served with Meals on Wheels and Hope for the Hungry.
He was an irreplaceable and loving daddy, papa, husband and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Snelling Hardeman; daughters and son-in-law, Terri (Howell) Seagraves, Ila, and Paula (Curtis) Drake, Comer; grandchildren, Alicia Mallory and Blaine Seagraves, and Autumn Drake; step-daughter, Lynn Snelling; and daughter, Emily Pace; step-daughter and son-in-law, Jane (Patrick) deAlbuquerque; sisters, Joyce Williamson and Dorothy Hancock; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte (Phillip) Langford; sister-in-law, Florence Hardeman; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville on Tuesday, September 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be at Comer Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, with Burial at the Comer Cemetery following the service.
Flowers are accepted, however donations can be made to the Comer Baptist Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 208, Comer, GA. 30629.
Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
