Lloyd R. Williams, 69, of Demorest, died Thursday, July 14, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

He was born in Habersham County on March 20, 1939, the son of the late Jake and Emma Smith Williams.

He was the father of Wendy Patrick and Tammy Allen, both of Homer.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 17, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Gary Hall officiating.
