Mark Souk Bounxayseng, 65, of Baldwin, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at his residence, following an extended illness.
He was born on August 6, 1942, in Nongkhai, Thailand, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Verne Bounxayseng. He was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills with 20 years of dedicated service and was a member of the Wat LaoKhambouengheung in Baldwin. Mr. Bounxayseng was preceded in death by a son, Phet Bounxayseng.
Survivors include his wife, Phou Bounxayseng, Baldwin; daughters, Sai Bounxayseng and Amy Bounxayseng, both of Baldwin; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jacob and Joseph Bounxayseng.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, at the Whitfield Funeral Home with the Monks from the Wat LaoKhambouengheung officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, May 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, is in charge of arrangements.
