JEFFERSON - Martha Gail Taylor, 55, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born in Walton County, the daughter of the late Julius Randolph and Allene Brady Carter. Mrs. Taylor was aemployed by the Gwinnett County Department of Education as a bus driver for 10 years, and was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Jefferson. She had resided in Jefferson for nine years.
Survivors include daughters, Mandy (Jeff) Grooms, Nicholson, and Brandy Thomas, Jefferson; a son, John Taylor, Jefferson; sisters, Joyce Ann Chadwick, Jefferson, Evelyn Sue Carter, Athens, Linda Kay Allison, Monroe, Bonnie Nell Boring, Athens, and Charlotte Marie Johnson, Bogart; brother, Elvis Carter, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Katelyn Taylor, Ashleigh Grooms, Austin William Thomas, Mariana Elizabeth Taylor, Faith Danielle Grooms, Fredrick Johnathan Taylor Jr., Logan Ray Thomas, Jacob Alan Taylor, and Kaleigh Lyn Taylor.
Funeral Services will be Saturday September 3, at 11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Page officiating. The burial will follow in the Bay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Loganville. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
