COMMERCE – Lillie Elizabeth Parson Mize, 86, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Southern Pines Assisted Living in Maysville.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Lou Shannon Parson. Mrs. Mize was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Mize; daughter, Gail McCoy; and a son, Rickey Mize.
Survivors include children, Willie Lou (Jerry) Mize Stoyle, Danielsville, Jams T. (Sandra) Mize, Hoschton, and Ty (Susan) Mize, Commerce; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, at 2 p.m. from the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Ralph Smith and Phil Parks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
