COMMERCE - Rickey “Ric Rac” Morris, a loving son, husband, father and poppa, 53, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Born in Hall County, he was the son of Mamie Lois Smith Morris of Commerce and the late John Junior Morris. He was employed by Aldridge Construction. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Martin and Linda Morris; and brothers, Danny and Johnny Morris.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife Pam Gary Morris, Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Michael Thurmond, Commerce; brothers, Mickey Morris, Commerce, M.L. Morris, Bowersville, and Jackie Morris, Jefferson; grandson, Tyson Thurmond, Commerce; and a beloved pet, Taco; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
