Homer Dana “Chuck” Greenway, Jr., 68, died on Monday, August 22, 2011 following an extended illness.
He was born in Hall County the son of Ruby Wall Greenway and the late Homer Dana Greenway Sr. He graduated from East Hall High School and was a member of Air Line Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1961 to 1964. After receiving an advanced degree in electrical engineering, he owned and operated Engineer Control Company of Maysville. He also operated the Greenway Golf Course for 15 years.
Survivors in addition to his mother include sisters, Carolyn Cape and Rita Shockley; his loving children, a son, Michael Greenway, daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Anthony Fauscett and Lori and John Adams; six grandchildren, Hannah Greenway, Eric Waters, Elizabeth Adams, Victoria Adams, Jay Adams and Annmarie Adams; two great-grandchildren, Gracie and Mikala Waters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, at 11 a.m. in the chapel Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Air Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Verlin Reece will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
