Mary Carlile (8-3-11)

BRASELTON - Mary Nix Carlile, 79, died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born May 9, 1932, in Cornelia, the daughter of the late Chess and Ora Garner Nix. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church and was preceded in death by brothers, Junior Nix and James Nix; sisters, Betty Boggus and Doris Martin; and great-granddaughter, Brittany Coggiins.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Carlile, Braselton; daughters and sons-in-laws, Robin and William Carter, Braselton, Mindy and Randall Carter, Arcade, and Brenda and Morgan Redd, Pendergrass; sons and daughters-in-laws, Roger and Sheryl Carlile, Braselton, Rambo and Kay Carlile, Arcade, and Jamie and Penny Carlile, Pendergrass; grandsons, Bobby Doster and Dustin Carlile; sisters, Willie Mae Roberts, Bethlehem, and Brenda Patterson, Buford.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 7, at Mercy Baptist Church with interment following in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Lamar Harrison and Ollie Hayes officiated.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
