Claude West (8-19-11)

ROYSTON – Claude West, 77, died Friday, August 19, 2011, at his residence.

Born in Greenwood, S.C., he was the son of the late Barney and Emmer Eudy West. He was a truck driver and a member of the Canaan Baptist Church. Mr. West was preceded in death by a sister, Julie Mae Mayner.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hill West, Royston; sons, Claude Eugene West and Terry Alton West, both of Royston; brother, Henry Bennett West, North Carolina; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 21, at the Canaan Baptist Church with the Revs. David Strickland, Jim Olds and Chris Heath officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
