JEFFERSON - John Thomas Crenshaw, M.D., 77, died Thursday, August 18, 2011.
Dr. Crenshaw was born September 2, 1933 in Maysville, son of the late Howard and Annie Morris Crenshaw. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in the Korean War, a graduate of The University of Georgia, a 1964 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, and was a physician in Jefferson for 38 years, having started his private practice in 1973. His brother, Bill Crenshaw, preceded Dr. Crenshaw in death.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Goodyear Crenshaw, Jefferson; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Crenshaw, Rock Hill, S.C., and Alisa Crenshaw, Manning, S.C.; two sisters, Jean Crenshaw Crane, Maysville, and Mary Ann Cantrell, Arkansas; one brother, Kenneth Crenshaw, Jefferson; and two grandchildren, Joe Thomas Hardy and Lacey M. Hardy.
A private family memorial service will be held on a later date. No visitation is planned.

17 Executive Park, Suite 115, Atlanta, GA 30329, or the Maysville United Methodist Church, 8430 Maysville Rd., Maysville, GA 30558.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.

i will forever appreciate dr. crenshaw for helping the family of arthur parr jr during our dark days of jr*s illness. john was so good to all of us everytime we were sick with our colds and in needing specialist with other kinds of sickness. thank yall crenshaw family for all the services you gave the entire parr family; especially mrs. crenshaw and jean. john you are forever in our hearts. we will miss you so much.

A good man that was always in service to his fellow man. He was very kind and always helped when needed.
