AUBURN – Celia Marlowe Parks, 74, died Thursday, August 11, 2011.
Born in Barrow County she was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Blackstock Marlowe. She was a member of Auburn First Baptist church and was retired from Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS).
Survivors include her husband, Jarrell “Red” Parks, Auburn; sons, Steve (Dawn) Parks, Winder, and Mark (Cheryl) Parks, Auburn; a daughter, Sherri (Mike) Royster, Winder; grandchildren, Brooke (Dan) Tucker, Tandy (Johnny) Christopher, Brittany Parks and fiance Nathan Luke, Josh Parks, Hunter and Megan Parks; great-grandchildren, Jackson Tucker and Brody Christopher; brothers, Dan Marlowe and Dwayne Marlow, both of Auburn; and a sister, Kathy Kennedy, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 14, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. Lee Sass and Chris Parkin officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
