Laverne Northcutt (8-7-11)

MORROW - Laverne Lesel Beck Northcutt, 74, died at her residence Sunday evening, August 7, 2011.

She was born in Clayton, and was the daughter of the late Lamar and Lesel Cannon Beck. She worked for the FAA in Atlanta until retirement. Laverne was a loving mother to her two daughters and adored her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Jones; and one brother Warren R. Beck, Sr.

Survivors include her loving and caring husband, Jim Northcutt; two daughters, Kathi Jones Stensland, and Aundrea Jones Wilson and husband William, all of Locust Grove; two stepdaughters, Denise Northcutt Newby, Rome, and Sherrie Northcutt Eubanks, Nashville, Tenn.; one stepson, Timothy Northcutt, Hendersonville, Tenn.; two brothers Albert Beck, Clayton, and Luther Beck, Commerce; 12 grandchildren, Michael Stensland, Eva Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Tara Newby Demico, Brandon Newby, Justin Newby, Jessica Northcutt Burgess, Ann Alyse Northcutt Barclay, MaKensie Northcutt, Molly Northcutt, Kaitlin Eubanks, and Haley Eubanks.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home Tuesday, August 9, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, at Battle Branch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery.
