DANIELSVILLE – Evelyn Frances Winfrey Hanley “Granny Evelyn”, 84, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at the St. Mary’s Hospice House in Bogart.
Born in Madison County on April 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Pearl Huntsinger Winfrey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hanley was preceded in death by her husband, James Hanley; and a son, Kenneth Jackson “Albert” Hanley.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Marie Hanley, Canon, and Gary Hanley and Mary Johnson, Danielsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jerry Mason, Ila, Diane Riley, Danielsville, and Carol ad Sam Ingram, Crawford; daughter-in-law, Donna Hanley, Danielsville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Horne, Danielsville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 23, at the Pruitt Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Susan Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
