Johnny Collins (7-30-11)

WINDER - Johnny Collins, 61, died Saturday, July 30, 2011.

A native of Franklin County, he was the son of John Collins of Madison and the late Dot Criswell Collins. He was a member of Bear Creek First Baptist Church and was a retired United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War

Survivors include children, Jeff and Kristi Collins, Winder, Jason and Dena Collins, Lawrenceville; five grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Willis Lay, Dacula.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, at 4 p.m. from the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
