Geneva Beatty (8-1-11)

JEFFERSON - Geneva Sosebee Beatty, 82, died on Monday, August 1, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late J.C. and Estelle Burroughs Sosebee and was a retired secretary from Jefferson Mills with 39 years of service. She was a member of the Talmo Baptist Church. Mrs. Beatty was preceded in death by her husband, Howell H. Beatty.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Ray Beatty, Snellville; daughter, Joyce L. Wells, Jefferson; sisters, Mary Sorrells, Talmo, and Rhonda Boswell, Jefferson; brothers, W.T. Sosebee and Billy J. Sosebee, both of Talmo; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, at 2 p.m. in the Talmo Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Spence officiating. The burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Denny Beatty, Kip Beatty, Tony Beatty, Jeff Wilson, B.J. Sosebee, Don Sorrells and Greg Wells honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, August 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
