JEFFERSON - Gregory Todd “Greg” Caudell, 49, of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side after a courageous eight month battle with cancer.
He was born in Athens, the son of Betty Jean Garrison Caudell of Jefferson and the late Wayne Stanley Caudell. He was a master plumber and owner of Athens Backflow Certification Company, co-owner of All American Plumbing, Inc., and Roto-Rooter in Athens. He was the best husband and daddy who loved spending time with his family, riding his Harley, camping, going to the lake, hunting, taxidermy, and his dogs.
Survivors in addition to his mother, are his wife, Bambi Summers Caudell, Jefferson; daughters, Brittany Caudell, Brianna Caudell and Devin Caudell; all of Jefferson; mother and father-in-law, Bootsie and Keith Summers, Athens; brother-in-laws, Henri Grissino-Mayer (Brandi), Knoxville, Tenn., Mike Grissino (Pam), Townsend, Shannon Summers (Cindy), Athens; nieces and nephews, Eric and Angela Grissino, Chad and Brandy Davis, Mitchell and Stephanie Howard, BJ and Brandy Smith, Hunter and Arianna Summers, Kyle and Cassidy Davis, Brody Smith; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral home with the Revs. Bill Carpenter, Mike Stowers and Eric Grissino officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens with Randy Pinson, Randy Thomas, Roy Stringer, Tommy Tate, Scot Satterfield and Marshall Collins honored as pallbearers. His employees will serve as honorary pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday evening, August 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
