HULL – George W. “Bill” Hooper Jr., 72, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Canton, Ohio, on January 16, 1939, he was the son of the late George William Hooper Sr. and the late Lela Fortner Hooper. He was retired, was a member of the Harrison McCreary V.F.W. Post #4828, and was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hooper was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Mann Hooper.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Marc Perry, Danielsville; grandchildren, Robert Perry, Kayla Perry and Chandler Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Mary Hooper, Hull; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Kenneth Williamson, Danielsville; and mother-in-law, Hazel Mann, Royston.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, at 3 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Wednesday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is at the home of Donna and Marc Perry.
