FLOWERY BRANCH - Dorine Cash Greenway, 95, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Jacob D. and Noda Hadaway Cash. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a special education teacher with the Hall County School System until her retirement in 1978. After retirement she taught the Sunshine Class at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church for 25 years. She was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church and the Ben Pethel Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Franklin Greenway; brothers, Delbert Cash and Louis Cash; sister, Viola Knight; son-in-law, Bobby Blanton; and daughter-in-law, Karen Greenway.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and William Sexton, Hephzibah, Anne Blanton, Eufala, Ala., Jean and John Higginbotham, Avondale, Ariz.; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Joann Greenway, Flowery Branch, and David and Marjie Greenway, Murrayville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home in Flowery Branch with the Rev. Dave Channell officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Park South Funeral Home, Flowery Branch.
