Wayne Caudell (7-21-11)

JEFFERSON - Wayne Stanley Caudell, 76, died on Thursday, July 21, 2011.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Pitner and Dicie Coker Caudell. Mr. Caudell was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War and was retired from Westinghouse, where he was a coil winder. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Caudell, Jefferson; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Bambi Caudell, Jefferson; and grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna and Devin Caudell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Carpenter and Mike Stowers officiating. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens with Steve Collins, Gordan Whitlock, Larry Fleeman, Roger Dills, Paul Shannon and Walter Barnett honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Friday evening, July 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
