Spencer Balmer (7-20-11)

FLOWERY BRANCH - Spencer Ernest Balmer, 76, of Flowery Branch died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at his residence.

He was born to the late Ralph and Virginia Balmer in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada. He was an executive in the paper industry. He and his wife lived and worked on five continents during his long career. Mr. Balmer was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Balmer; two brothers, Ralph and Marshall Balmer; and a sister, Rhene Balmer.

Survivors include his wife, Lawanna Mobley Balmer; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Balmer and Jean Plamondon, Noyan, Quebec, Canada; sons and daughters-in law, Damon and Jennylynn Balmer, Fairfax, Va., Trevor and Patricia Balmer, Yoakum, Texas, and Kevin Balmer, Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Tannika King, Rome, Cynthia Rhodes, Italy, Sophia and Spencer Balmer, Yoakum, Texas; sister, Faith Smith, Nova Scotia, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held.
