COMER - Sherry Lee Turner, 57, died July 14, 2011.
A native of Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Henry Calvin and Martha Murray Martin and was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Calvin Martin. She was employed at the Richard B. Russell Research Center for 24 years and was a member of Harvest Church for over 15 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Turner; two sons, Anthony Scott (April) Turner, Danielsville, and Marty (Kim) Turner, Comer; three grandchildren, Tristen Turner, Mya Turner and Landon Turner; and an aunt, Annis Rice, Calhoun Falls, S.C.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 17, at 3 p.m. at Harvest Church with the Rev. Curtis Parker officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
