BALDWIN - Hazel Cook Brady, 71, died on Monday, July 4, 2011, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Brady was born on April 27, 1940, in Habersham County. She was the daughter of the late Julius and Lucille Watkins Cook. Mrs. Brady was also preceded in death by her husband, Everage Brady; and brother, Edward Cook. She was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and a member of the B.C. Grant Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Ben Heimberger, Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jan Brady, Baldwin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Diane Cook, Commerce, and John and Carol Cook, Alto; and grandchildren, Greylon Brady, Rylan Brady, and Reagen Brady.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Revs. Danny O’Kelly and Mark Vandiver officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
