JEFFERSON – Betty Langford Brown, 79, died Friday, July 1, 2011.
Born in Maysville, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Sims Langford. She was the retired owner of the Brown’s Family Shop in Jefferson during the late 60s and early 70s. She graduated from Young Harris College and was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Tubby Brown; sisters, Carolyn Martin and Lynda Morgan; and a brother, Bill Langford.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Bud Healan, Jefferson; sons, Andy Brown, Jefferson, and Phil Brown, Washington; sister, Louise Langford, Hoschton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Clay Hardy and grandson, Bryan Bullock officiating. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery with Mikey Healan, Tim Healan, Trey Healan, Bill Fulghum, Boise Griffeth and Brian Bennett honored as pallbearers.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
