Sibyl Smith (6-30-11)

COMER – Sibyl Beatrice Smith, 91, died Thursday, June 30, 2011.

A native of White County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Genette Forester. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William Prince “W.P.” Smith; a son, L.J. Smith; grandson, Tracy Smith; three brothers; and three sisters. She was a member of Cloud’s Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Rickey Smith, Hull; sisters, Clara Dettloff, Plymouth, Mich., and Ruth Adams, San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, from the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. John Parker officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cloud’s Creek Baptist Church.
