HOSCHTON – David Junior “Bill” Hayes, 77, died Friday, July 1, 2011.
Born in Hoschton, he was the son of the late Hubert and Lula Mae Self Hayes. He was retired from Empire Manufacturing and was a member of the Center United Methodist Church in Hoschton. He was preceded in death by children, Janice Lynn Hayes, Teresa Ann Hayes, James Brent Hayes, and Johnny Lynn Hayes; a sister, Sarah Hayes; and brothers, Charlie, Lamar and Kenneth Hayes.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Evelyn Gregory Hayes, Hoschton; son, Richard Hayes, Hoschton; daughter, Louise Fortner, Hoschton, and Connie Long, Jefferson; brother, James Edward Hayes, Hoschton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 2 p.m., from the Center United Methodist church with the Revs. Glenn Parrish and Eddie Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with grandsons and his son-in-law honored as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
